Rep. Gene Reynolds of Minden talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about resigning his position as Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus.

Reynolds, who has been replaced by Marksville's Robert Johnson, says "he doesn't know about" the possibility that he was considered too conservative by Governor John Bel Edwards, describing himself as "in the middle' when it comes to solutions to avoid what JBE as repeatedly described as the state's "fiscal cliff."

The Minden rep also talks about his favoring a constitutional convention as a fix for Louisiana's money troubles. He, as well as a number of legislators from both parties, see the possible convention as the only way to eliminate the state's numerous "protected" budget items.
